홀리스테이는 성지순례연계 문화순례 엔젤홈의 첫 번째로 이곳에서 활동하는 한국인 건축가 스토커리 이동준씨의 집이자 창작공간을 엔젤홈으로 예약할 수 있는 기회를 드립니다. 이동준씨는 그의 스위스 출신 아내 맬라니 스토커와 함께 스토커리 건축회사의 공동설립자입니다. 두 사람은 스위스 건축의 거장 마리오 보타와 건축가가 가장 존경하는 건축가 페터 춤토르의 USI 맨드리지오 건축학교 제자이자 현재 USI 건축과 교수로서 스위스에서도 주목받는 건축가 부부입니다. 엔젤홈 대상인 그의 집은 유럽의 건축관련 여러 미디어에 소개된 바 있습니다.
Bau Bau 주택이 배경인 동영상 속의 아이들은 티치노 지역에 살고 있는 건축가 부부인 이동준과 맬라니 스토커의 천사들입니다. 좁고 긴 대지, 건물을 앉히면 내부가 직경 5m에 불과한 한계 공간을 풀어낸 역량이 주목을 받았습니다. "이 건축물은 비슷한 두 개의 아파트가 마주보는 구조로 구성되어 있습니다. 아트리움과 손님방이 있는 1층, 모든 침실이 있는 2층, 부엌 및 다이닝룸과 거실이 있는 3층, 작업실과 테라스가 위치한 4층, 그리고 이 모든 공간에 시각적 연속성을 부여하는 계단까지 이 건축물의 모든 공간구성에 있어서 우리는 보통의 일반적인 주택과 같은 선택을 하지 않았습니다."는 이동준의 말에서 디자인의 근본적 개념을 생각해 봅니다.
디자인은 본디 ‘계획을 기호로 나타낸다’는 것을 뜻하는 라틴어 'designare'가 어원입니다, 다시 말하면 '어떤 목적을 향해 계획을 세우고, 문제 해결을 위한 생각, 개념을 잘 맞추고 그것을 가시적이며 촉각적 매체로 표시한 성과물'로 이해됩니다. 이동준과 맬라니 스토커의 건축은 집요하게 문제 속에서 해결을 찾고 있습니다. 이런 그가 매력적으로 다가왔습니다. 그에게 홀리스테이를 설명하고 그의 집을 엔젤홈으로 호스팅하자고 제안했습니다. 그가 이내 승낙을 하자 그의 집과 창작공간을 거점으로 한 맨드리지오 순례 프로젝트를 생각했습니다. 물론, 그의 가족이 가능한 시간과 여건, 그의 게스트 선택이 전제되지만 홀리스테이의 취지를 이해하는 그의 조언과 현장의 협조는 큰 힘이 될 것입니다.

밀라노 대성당과 이탈리아 북부를 성지순례 목적지로 한다면 스위스 티치노는 연계하기 좋은 곳입니다. 홀리스테이가 이탈리아 북부로 깊숙히 들어간 티치노의 남쪽 지역인 멘드리지오(Mendrisio)를 첫 번째 건축문화 순례지로 정한 것은 페터 춤토르, 마리오 보타, 발레리오 올지아티 등 세계적 거장의 연고지이자 이동준과 맬라니 스토커 부부와 같이 왕성하게 창작활동을 하는 건축가들의 주요 거점이기 때문입니다.

그라나다 "그리스도의 몸" 축제 속으로...
코퍼스 크리스티는 스페인 그라나다에서 가장 중요한 축제이며 규모 또한 가장 큽니다. 축제는 일주일 동안 이어지는데 인형극 쇼, 어린이를 위한 이벤트, 투우, 퍼레이드, 발코니 장식, 전시회 등 다양한 종류의 행사들이 마을 골목마다 넘쳐납니다.
박람회장과 시내 중심가에 있는 '카 세타'라 불리는 거대한 텐트에는 플라멩고와 지역 음악 공연이 벌어집니다. 두 가지 주요 행렬이 축제 기간 동안 그라나다에서 열립니다. 첫 번째는 수요일에 이어지는 이교도 출신인 Tarasca (Tarasque)입니다. 이 행렬에서, 큰 종이 마차 머리를 한 거인과 다른 등장 인물을 동반한 용으로 분장한 여성이 그라나다 거리를 행진합니다. 이후 플라멩고 춤, 투우 등 전통을 이어온 지역의 문화가 꼬리를 물고 펼쳐집니다. 종교 축제의 정체성이 드러나는 엄숙한 종교적 의식은 당연하게 중요한 행사입니다.

Story of 'Twelve Stars of Peace'
From Road to Peace to Brotherhood and Humanity
Aims
Establish twelve prayer sites around the world and encourage Eucharistic Adoration with Our Lady for peace.
To advocate eucharistic prayer with Our Lady as a symbol of prayer for peace.
Build a special altar where Our Lady is with the Blessed Sacrament. Bring this altar to different churches around the country for eucharistic adoration for peace. Announce the messages of the eucharistic adoration for peace, thus raise awareness of the importance of eucharistic adoration for peace, and further create a prayer movement. In addition, encourage people to regularly visit the altar and pray.
Background
Piotr, the current president of “Queen of Peace Society”, received inspiration during eucharistic adoration in 2006, the 25th Anniversary of the Apparition of Mary in Medjugorje. He heard a voice urging him to establish twelve prayer sites to revere and adore Jesus Christ in the blessed sacrament for peace.
This was a special inspiration in that twelve prayer sites would represent the “Crown with Twelve Stars” worn by the Queen of Peace.
Overall Development
After he returned to Poland, Piotr met with Mariusz, a sculptor, in Cz?stochowa and talked about his inspiration. Mariusz has designed the garment and crown of Our Lady, and the papal ferula of Saint John Paul II, as well as many altars, tabernacle, and Our Lady statues for the Vatican and other churches.
The two men decided to make a special altar to display the blessed sacrament for adoration and place it in Jerusalem, making Jerusalem the first star of the twelve. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they offered a prayer to St. Joseph and Our Lady then began the project. It was not easy to build an altar for eucharistic adoration with Our Lady in Jerusalem. They were met with opposition from the Jewish people; it was also difficult to raise the funds. They believed, however, if the Holy Spirit was indeed guiding them, He would help them to face the challenges.
When the Jerusalem altar was completed, they were exhausted. The two men struggled to complete even the first star of the twelve.
What really concerned them was deciding on the next site to build the special altar, as they did not embark on this project with concrete ideas on where the twelve sites should be. Piotr and Mariusz trusted that God willing, second and third star would be completed, and offered the project to the providence of God.
After some time has passed since their return, Piotr received an e-mail. At first, he thought it was spam and was about to delete it. But he was strangely drawn to open it. It was sent by an archbishop and president of the Episcopal Conference of Kazakhstan. In the e-mail, the archbishop requested, “please build an altar for eucharistic adoration with our Lady for Peace in Kazakhstan.”
The two men, exhausted after completing the tabernacle in Jerusalem, were waiting for an answer from Our Lady about the twelve stars altar project and funding, and that answer came from Kazakhstan. Thanks to this e-mail, the project was miraculously resurrected. “The Queen of Peace Shrine” in Ozernoe, Kazakhstan became the second star. Those in charge of the project believe that they are not leading this mission but have merely been chosen as a vessel.

A call to selfless living
Bishop Andrzej Józefowicz, the Apostolic Nuncio in Rwanda, called on believers to always embrace Christ, especially in a time like this when the world is full of hatred and evil.
“We should strive to stay in line with God’s will, a person’s existence should not be based on earthly life, and it should be a journey that leads us to the house of God where He is waiting for us,” the Bishop said.
Bishop Józefowicz also encouraged people to lead a life of selflessness, and be close to the needy and have open hearts.
“We shouldn’t close our hearts and be selfish; we should instead open them and give them to the world,” he said. Józefowicz thanked the Almighty for the opportunity given to Rwanda and that it should be a lesson to all Christians.

Introduction
Since November 28th, 1981, Kibeho is known to be a place of apparitions and pilgrimage. As Mons. Augustin Misago, Bishop of Gikongoro, wished it in his Declaration bearing the final judgement on the event of the "Apparitions of Kibeho" (N ° 14), Kibeho is called to become a place of prayer for God seekers, who come to ask for the grace of conversion, to offer their intentions in reparation of the sins of the world, and to promote reconciliation between individuals, communities or nations.
Kibeho is becoming a rallying point for "those who were dispersed", as well as for those who live the values of compassion and brotherhood without limits. Even better, Kibeho becomes more and more to the world of today, which has a tendency to 'consider the suffering as something to be avoided at all costs,' a place to remind us of the Gospel of the Cross.
Kibeho
Kibeho is situated in the southern part of Rwanda, in the district of Nyaruguru, 36 km from the residence of the Bishop of Gikongoro and 30 km from the residence of the Bishop of Butare. This isolated place is known and spoken of as a place of apparitions and pilgrimage.
Elements of the Message of Kibeho
Among the aspects which support the credibility of the apparitions of Kibeho, one of the most important is undoubtedly the "dialogues" of the visionaries with Our Lady, the quality of the message itself.
Certainly, the apparitions of Kibeho were many, and the time span in which they occurred was very long; the constitutive elements of the message, however, were delivered during the first two years of the apparitions, i.e. before the end of the year 1983.
The Virgin Mary communicated to her visionaries miscellaneous messages, which, however, never opposed each other; we can easily discern various common points in them. In the context of this declaration, they shall be limited to a brief overview. In general, this message could be summarized in the following themes:
1 °. An urgent appeal to the repentance and conversion of hearts:
“Repent, repent, repent!"
"Convert while there is still time."
2 °. An assessment of the moral state of the world:
"The world conducts itself very badly." ("Ngo isi imeze nabi cyane.")
"The world hastens to its ruin, it will fall into the abyss”, in other words, “it is plunged into innumerable and unrelenting disasters." ("Ngo isi igiye kugwa mu rwobo.")
"The world is rebellious against God (ubu isi yarigometse), it commits too many sins, it has neither love nor peace."
"If you do not repent and do not convert your hearts, you will fall into the abyss."
3 °. The deep sorrow of the Mother of God:
The visionaries said to have seen the Virgin Mary crying on August 15th, 1982. The Mother of God was very saddened because of people’s unbelief and lack of repentance. She complained of our bad way of life, which is characterized by the slackness of customs, the likeness of evil, and continuous disobedience to God’s Commandments.
4 °. "Faith and unbelief will come unseen". (“Ngo ukwemera n’ubuhakanyi bizaza mu mayeri.”)
These mysterious words were repeatedly spoken by Mary to Alfonsine at the beginning of the revelations. She was asked to repeat them to the other people.
5 °. The suffering that saves:
This subject is among the most important among the revelations in Kibeho, particularly for Natalie Mukamazimpaka. Suffering, which is unavoidable in this life, is necessary for Christians to attain eternal glory.
On May 15th, 1982, Mary said to her visionaries, especially to Natalie, “No one will reach heaven without suffering,” or, “A child of Mary does not reject suffering.” Suffering is both a means of compensating for the sins of the world and participating in Jesus’ and Mary’s sufferings for the salvation of the world.
The visionaries were invited through this address to live very specifically, accepting suffering through faith in love, mortifying themselves and denying themselves pleasures for the conversion of the world.
Thus, Kibeho is a reminder of the role of the cross in the life of a Christian and the Church.
6 °. “Pray always and single-heartedly”:
People are not praying, and those who do pray, do not pray as they should.
Mary begs the visionaries to pray in abundance for the whole world, to teach others to pray, and to pray for those who do not pray themselves. Mary begs us to pray with greater zeal and purity of heart.
7 °. Marian devotion – expressed through sincere and regular praying of the rosary.
8 °. The Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin Mary:
The visionary Marie Claire Mukangango said to have received revelations about the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin Mary. The blessed Virgin loves this rosary.
Well known in the past, it had been forgotten. The Mother of God of Kibeho desires for it to be renewed and spread in the Church. However, this prayer does not replace the Holy Rosary.
9 °. Mary desires that a chapel be built for her – as a sign of the remembrance of her revelations in Kibeho. This subject appears in the revelations of January 16th, 1982 and recurs many times in the course of the year with new supplements.
10 °. Pray always for the Church, when many troubles are upon it in the times to come. Thus Mary said to Alfonsine on August 15th, 1983 and on November 28th, 1983.
